Smithfield, RI- The Wagner women's swimming & diving team broke a pool record at Bryant Saturday afternoon in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:47.11.

The group of swimmers in that relay included
Allie D'Allegro,
Ellie Eastwood,
Judith Desforges, and
Abbie Hassell.

The Seahawks lost their first meet of the season to Northeast Conference (NEC) opponent Bryant 168-113.

The strongest showing in the pool for the Seahawks came in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. Eastwood finished in first place of the heat hitting the wall at 1:06.53. Teammate
Bree Anderson finished right behind her at 1:09.57. Eastwood had her second first-place finish of the afternoon in the 200 Yard Breaststroke, finishing with a time of 2:26.25.

Eastwood closed out her dominant performance with her third victory of the day, winning the 400 Individual Medley with a time of 4:34.52. In that race, Anderson had another second-place finish with a 4:37.49.

In the 200 Yard Backstroke, Anderson had her third second-place finish of the day, hitting the wall 2:08.19. D'Allegro finished right behind in third place at 2:12.55.

Hannah Muro and
Kate Wilkerson swam a tight race in the 200 Yard Freestyle, finishing a tad behind a pair of Bulldogs, resulting in a third and fourth place finish for the two Seahawks. Muro finished two seconds behind the winner, touching the wall at 2:00.19 while Wilkerson finished at 2:02.00.

In the 1 Meter Diving event for the Seahawks,
Meliti Efthimiou scored a 177.15, finishing in third place. Also diving was
Naomi Shorr, who scored a 129.01 in the event.

Wagner is back in the pool December 3-5 for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships in East Meadow, NY.
