Smithfield, RI- The Wagner women's swimming & diving team looks to stay undefeated on the season when they visit Northeast Conference (NEC) foe Bryant on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
Wagner is 3-0 with steady victories over Iona, Sacred Heart, and Mount St. Mary's. The last time the Green & White started a season 3-0 was in 2019-20 when they won their first five meets of that season.
Freshman
Annie Jencova's impressive day in the pool against Mount St. Mary's earned her an NEC Prime Performer nod for the week. Jencova posted first-place finishes in the 100 Yard Freestyle (54.50), 100 Yard Backstroke (1:00.62), and 100 Yard Butterfly (59.98).
Last Time Out...
- The Seahawks moved to 3-0 after defeating Mount St. Mary's 170-61 in their first home meet of the season at the Spiro Sports Center
- Junior Hannah Muro, junior Taylor Marjamaa, freshman Annie Jencova, and freshman Ellie Eastwood all had first-place finishes against the Mountaineers
- The 200 Yard Medley Relay team made up of Eastwood, sophomore Allie D'Allegro, senior Judith Desforges, and sophomore Abbie Hassell finished first, totaling a time of 1:48.82
- Wagner swept two races where Seahawk swimmers finished in the first three slots of the heat (200 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Breaststroke)
