Staten Island, NY – Wagner head women's soccer coach
Phil Casella has announced that four student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletics careers on Grymes Hill, beginning in the fall of 2022.
The signing class consists of Faith Andree (Leechburg, PA), Madeleine DiGaetano (Oakdale, NY), Kaitlyn Reilly (Sound Beach, NY), and Katelyn Sheuchenko (Smithtown, NY).

Arsenal FC of Pittsburgh/Arsenal 2004 Academy Girls
Four-year varsity member of the Cavaliers soccer team… Two-time team captain… Led Kiski Area to the WPIAL quarterfinals all four seasons… The team posted a pair of second-place finishes in 2018-19 and 2019-20… Earned All-Section honors in her senior season… For her high school career, she netted 27 goals, highlighted by a career-high ten in her senior campaign… In the classroom, she is a four-time High Honor Roll recipient as well as a three-time National Honor Society member… She is among the top-10 in her graduating class.
Coach Casella on Andree: "Faith is a central defender that will be coming to us from Arsenal FC out of Pittsburgh, PA. She is a smart, technical defender that can play centrally and on the outside. She does a very good of locating players in the midfield and up top and will be competing for a defensive position immediately."

Two-year varsity member of the T-Birds soccer team… Also was a member of the Connetquot track team… Helped lead Connetquot to five league titles on the track… On the pitch, she recorded the game-winning goal in the playoffs in her junior season… In the classroom, she was a four-time Principal Honor Roll selection… Was an officer for the National Honor, Tri-M, and RHO Kappa Honor Societies… Member of the World Language Honor Society as well…
Coach Casella on DiGaetano: "Madeleine is an attacking player from SUSA. She is an aggressive and hard-nose attacker that will bring versatility to our midfield and forward positions. She will look to compete for time right away."

Three-year member of the Eagles soccer team… Also played two seasons on the Rocky Point High School basketball team… On the pitch, she helped lead the Eagles to an undefeated regular season (16-0) while the team advanced to the Suffolk County Championships…During her senior season, the Eagles posted ten shutouts… She was able to record a goal during the Suffolk County semifinals… In 2020, Rocky Point made it to the Suffolk County semifinals… In the classroom, she is a two-time National Honor Society member while also a being inducted into the National English Honor Society and the National Math Honor Society… Was named to the Principal's Honor Roll all four years of high school.
Coach Casella on Reilly: "Kaitlyn will be coming to us from New York Surf... A defensive-minded player, she has the ability to play both inside and outside spots. She is tough and very difficult to beat."

A three-year member of the Smithtown West varsity soccer team…. Helped lead the Bulls to the 2021 Suffolk County Championship game and the 2019 league championship… The Bulls went 12-2-1 during the 2021 season… As a member of the Long Island Slammers 04, she helped the team win the 2021 New York State championship.
Coach Casella on Sheuchenko: "Katelyn comes to us from the Long Island Slammers. She is a creative and aggressive forward that can be dangerous from all over the final third of the field. She has a nose for the goal and will look to take chances from anywhere."
