Staten Island, NY- The Wagner women's swimming & diving team continued its undefeated start to the season with a dominant 170-61 victory over Mount St. Mary's.
The Seahawks are now 3-0 and will travel to Smithfield, RI to face Bryant next Saturday, November 6, at 12:00 p.m.
The 200 Yard Medley Relay team made up of
Allie D'Allegro,
Ellie Eastwood,
Judith Desforges, and
Abbie Hassell finished first, totaling a time of 1:48.82.
Taylor Marjamaa had a first place finish as well in the 500 Yard Freestyle, posting a time of 5:17.92.
The Green & White also had a sharp showing in the 200 Yard Freestyle as
Hannah Muro led the way with a time of 2:00.24.
Kate Wilkerson and
Allie D'Allegro followed in second and third place with a 2:01.66 and 2:02.46, respectively.
"We saw a lot of great things," head coach
Colin Shannahan said. "We got two week's worth of hard work in and it's really starting to show. Good time drops from our meet against Iona and Sacred Heart. It's been a fun group to work with. There's a lot of talent there."
Annie Jencova cruised to a first place 1:00.62 finish in the 100 Yard Backstroke. Teammate
Emma White hit the wall second in that event with a 1:05.02. The Seahawks had another sweep in the 100 Yard Breaststroke. Eastwood,
Bree Anderson, and Maddy Delore were the top three finishers with times of 1:07.43, 1:10.82, and 1:12.84, respectively.
