Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College swimming and diving team finished its regular season with a 191.5-95.5 victory over LIU as part of the Seahawks' Senior Meet at the Spiro Sports Center on Saturday.
Following Saturday's meet, the Seahawks honored their senior class, consisting of
Kelli Boston,
Jenna D'Allegro,
Makenna Depuydt,
Lauren Emerson,
Emily Moore,
Katie Mulcahy, and graduate student
Dorian McMenemy.
The Seahawks' 200 Medley Relay, consisting of Moore, sophomores
Ellie Eastwood and
Judith Desforges, as well as McMenemy took first in 1:48.63, while Depuydt, freshman
Hannah Muro, junior
Madeleine Delore, and Desforges took first in the 200 Free Relay in 1:39.43.
Competing at the Spiro Sports Center for the final time, Depuydt took first in the 100 Free (53.02) ahead of McMenemy (54.85). The duo also finished first in the 50 Free in 24.40 and 24.40, respectively.
Eastwood also earned two individual victories, as the sophomore touched first in the 200 IM (2:10.94) and 100 Breast (1:06.78). Desforges took first place in the 50 Breast in 31.10, while Moore won the 100 Back in 1:00.99.
Freshman
Kira Bowling was victorious in the 500 Free (5:12.31), while fellow first-year Seahawk
Frederikke Mertins rounded out the day with a victory in the 100 IM (1:01.76).
On the diving board, junior
Cara Angelo earned 189.00 points in the 1-meter competition and 171.00 points on the 3-meter board to earn two wins.
This year's NEC Championship meet will take place from February 19-22 in East Meadow, NY.
