Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College swimming and diving team dropped a 207-93 decision at NYU on Saturday, before losing a tightly contested 156-144 meet against Rhode Island at the Spiro Sports Center on Sunday.
On Sunday, Wagner won the 400 Free Relay, as senior
Makenna Depuydt, junior
Madeleine Delore, sophomore
Judith Desforges, and graduate student
Dorian McMenemy finished in 3:37.65.
Depuydt and sophomore
Ellie Eastwood dominated the competition, earning three individual victories each. Depuydt won the 200 Free (1:55.73), 100 Free (53.17), and 50 Free (24.63), ahead of McMenemy (25.05) and Desforges (25.59).
Eastwood took first place in the 100 Breast (1:08.13), while touching first in the 200 IM (2:11.55) ahead of freshman
Maile Mora (2:12.30), and also earning a first-place finish in the 200 Breast (2:26.68) ahead of freshman
Frederikke Mertins (2:27.57).

Raquel Reyes took second in the 1000 Free (1:51.72) and 200 Fly (2:11.27) while Mora added a second-place finish in the 200 IM (2:12.30)
On Saturday against NYU, Depuydt also won the 50 Free in 24.62, while Reyes took first in the 200 Fly (2:10.24).
The 200 Free Relay, consisting of Depuydt, Desforges, McMenemy, and Muro touched first in 1:38.04, while Mertins took first in the 200 Breast (2:26.69).
Next up, the Seahawks will host LIU for their senior meet on January 25 at 1:00 PM at the Spiro Sports Center.
