Staten Island, NY – The No. 16 Wagner women's water polo team travels to Princeton, NJ to take on the No. 18 Tigers in a 4:00 p.m. start on Saturday.
Last time out, the 21-7; 6-0 Green & White finished the weekend 4-0 on Grymes Hill, defeating Virginia Military (19-6), La Salle (26-4), Siena (21-8) and Villanova (26-5).
Junior
Jacqui Sjogren earned her first ever MAAC Offensive Player of the Week award on Wednesday after recording 20 goals and three assists for 23 points. The Queensland, Australia native also drew 12 exclusions in four games.
Freshman
Sofia Diaz Alvarez garnered her fourth MAAC Rookie of the
Week honor after tallying 14 goals and 7 assists, combining for 21
points in four victories over the weekend. The Spaniard was not only a force offensively, but also grabbed an impressive 17 steals.
The Princeton Tigers are 15-7 overrall and 2-0 in CWPA conference play, most recently falling to 8-2 to No. 14 Long Beach State on March 21 in Long Beach, CA.
