Staten Island, NY – The No. 15 Wagner women's water polo team (21-7; 6-0) remains unbeaten in Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play after defeating Siena (21-8) and Villanova (26-5) on Sunday at the Spiro Sports
Center, advancing its win-streak to four.
Wagner 21, Siena 8:
The Seahawks opened the game up with a 4-1 lead over the Saints to start the first quarter. By the end of the first half, the Green & White were up 11-3.
Junior
Jacqui Sjogren led the offensive surge for the Seahawks, tallying five goals, followed by sophomore
Daisy Nankervis and redshirt junior
Kristy Donkin who each registered a hat trick apiece.
Freshman
Sofia Diaz Alvarez, freshman Philippa Nash, senior
Erica Hardy and sophomore
Malia Josephson each found the back of the net twice, respectively.
Second years
Allison Long and
Savannah Henshaw each scored one goal apiece to aid the offense.

Prior to the matchup between the Seahawks and the Wildcats, six seniors in
Abby Irving,
Natalie Kayton,
Sarah Limanni,
Katelyn Traut,
Kristy Donkin and
Erica Hardy were recognized for their contributions to the Wagner women's water polo program.
Ten different members of the Green & White squad registered goals, with Sjogren leading the way once again with six goals. Diaz Alvarez, Hardy and Nankervis each scored a hat trick apiece, while Josephson totaled two tallies.
Irving, Henshaw, Nash and sophomore
Serena Thurman all contributed one goal each, respectively.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Katherine Campbell finished the game with nine saves to help the Seahawks to a 26-5 victory over Villanova to conclude the weekend.
Wagner is back in action on March 30 for a 4:00 p.m. matchup at Princeton against the Tigers.
