Philadelphia, PA – The Wagner College men's basketball team will travel to Philadelphia, PA on Wednesday for a matchup with Atlantic 10 member La Salle University. The Seahawks are coming off a loss at Hartford and will look for their third win of the season.
Morales Named Prime Performer
For his performance at Hartford, junior
Alex Morales was named an NEC Prime Performer. Morales led the Seahawks with 19 points, 13 of which came in the second half, while also grabbing a team-high seven rebounds. Morales was the leader of the late Wagner rally, as he scored four consecutive baskets to bring the Seahawks within striking distance at 62-57 with less than a minute to play. On the season, Morales is averaging 13 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per contest.
Non-Conference Play Winding Down
Wednesday's contest marks the third to last non-conference game for the Seahawks, who will kick off Northeast Conference action on January 2 at Mount St. Mary's. With the addition of Merrimack to the NEC, this year's regular season conference slate will feature 18 games in a two-month stretch, with the NEC tournament scheduled for March 4-10.

Bashir Mason has used five different starting lineups. The only player to start all eight games so far is
Alex Morales. Overall, 12 players have seen action for the Seahawks this season and seven players are averaging more than 20 minutes per contest.
Cobb Closing In On 1,000 Points
By scoring eight points against Hartford in his return from injury, graduate student
Curtis Cobb III moved to within four points of scoring 1,000 overall points in his career after scoring 687 points in two years at Fairfield, 193 points in one season at UMass, and 108 points in five games for the Seahawks.
Scouting The Explorers
La Salle comes into Wednesday's matchup with a 6-3 overall record. The Explorers have won five out of their last six games, with the only loss in that span coming against Villanova, and are 2-1 at home this season.
The two teams will be meeting for just the second time ever. Both teams previously faced off in 2013-14, with the Seahawks suffering an 80-54 defeat.
