STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Wagner men's basketball head coach
Dwan McMillan has announced the addition of
Malcolm Pope as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026–27 season.
Pope arrives on Grymes Hill after spending the past three seasons as the head boys basketball coach at Pioneer Academy in Wayne, New Jersey. Prior to that, Pope spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Our Savior Lutheran.
Pope also served as the Head Coach of the New York Lightning 16U EYBL AAU team for the last six years, where he has won multiple team championships and has helped numerous student-athletes secure college scholarship offers.
A native of Harlem, New York, Pope graduated from the University of Texas Permian Basin in 2015 with a degree in communications.
