Staten Island, NY -  The Wagner College women's soccer team prepares for its final game of the 2019 regular season on Sunday, November 3 as they host the Merrimack College Warriors at 12:00 p.m. Before the match, the Seahawks will honor its eight seniors: Delaney Beck, Autumn Clark, Kayla Diggs, Mariana Jaramillo, Christine Letendre, Maria Nunez, Kaitlyn Ross, and Rorie St. Lawrence


LAST TIME OUT FOR WAGNER: 
  • The Green & White battled for 110 minutes in a 0-0 double-overtime tie Thursday on the road against Fairleigh Dickinson.
  • Senior goalkeeper Delaney Beck was credited with nine stops, upping her career total to 155.
  • Junior forward Mya Donnelly led the Wagner offense with four shots, two of which went on target. 
  • Sophomore Luisa Barone added three shots and junior Julia Fitzsimmons had two shots. 


SERIES HISTORY:
  • Sunday's contest is the first-ever meeting between the Seahawks and the Warriors. 
  • Merrimack is transitioning from Division II and the Northeast-10 Conference. 


ABOUT THE WARRIORS: 
  • Merrimack enters with a 3-13 overall record and a 1-8 mark in the conference.
  • The Warriors are looking to snap a four-game losing streak after dropping a 1-0 home decision to Robert Morris back on October 27. 
  • Molly Murnane and Izzy McDonnell lead the team with three goals apiece.
  • Murnane is the team's leading assist distributor with four and has a team-leading ten points. 
  • In goal, Erin Fulton and Megan Langolis have split time. 
  • Fulton has appeared in all 16 matches, allowing 23 goals (2.16 GAA) and notching 62 saves.
  • Langolis has allowed 16 goals (2.91 GAA) and has stopped 25 shots in her 12 contests. 


THE 2019 SENIOR CLASS: 
  • Delaney Beck
    • A three-year member of the Seahawks after transferring from Campbell University.
    • Enters Sunday match with 146 career saves, good for sixth on Wagner's all-time career saves list. 
  • Autumn Clark
    • A consistent staple of the Seahawk defense 
    • Entering Sunday's contest, she played in 57 career matches, earning the starting nod in 52 of those games. 
  • Kayla Diggs
    • A two-time NEC Fall Academic Honor Roll selection. 
  • Mariana Jaramillo
    • In 2019, has played in 13 matches this season for the Green & White
    • Scored two minutes into her Wagner career at Rider and added her first Seahawk assist against Temple. 
  • Christine Letendre
    • Two-time team captain
    • Since 2017, has played in 41 matches, earning the start in 38 of those contests after switching from forward to the backfield her junior season. 
  • Maria Nunez
    • Two-time team captain
    • Veteran forward has netted 14 career goals, which ranks sixth all-time in Wagner history. 
    • In 2019, has a team-leading six goals, the most she has scored in her Wagner career. 
  • Kaitlyn Ross
    • Two-time team captain
    • Scored her first career goal against Robert Morris this season at home back on October 4. 
  • Rorie St. Lawrence
    • Provides a spark off-the-bench as she returned this season from injury. 
    • A three-time NEC Fall Academic Honor Roll selection. 
 

NUNEZ CONTINUES TO MOVE UP THE WAGNER ALL-TIME CAREER LISTS: 
  • Senior tri-captain, Maria Nunez, continues to ascend on multiple all-time and single-season lists here at Wagner as she will have two more matches left in her Seahawk career. 
  • Nunez netted her 14th career goal, which moved her into sole possession of sixth place on the all-time Wagner career goals scored list, surpassing former Seahawk standouts Johanna Konrad & Samantha Jensen, who each netted 13 during their careers. 
  • With the goal being a game-winner, it was her second-ever game-winner, tying her for ninth on the all-time list with ten former Seahawks, last being Amber Coca (2013-16). 
  • The veteran forward has recorded 29 career points, which ties Briana Vassallo (2007-10), for seventh on the all-time career list. Next up is Konrad, who finished with 30 points. 
  • Nunez became just the fourth Seahawk to record 100 or more shot attempts for a career, as she stands in fourth all-time with 101. 
  • In terms of shots on goal, her 51 shot attempts are good for third all-time, moving past Jackie Nicholas' (2010-13) total of 44. 
  • The East Greenwich, RI has moved up on the single-season goals scored list as her six goals this season, a career-best, are tied for tenth-best all-time with Julie Vigliotti (2011) and Jaclyn Santariello (2003). 


SEAHAWK TIDBITS:
  • Entering play at 5-10-2 and 3-4-2 in NEC play, the Seahawks have 11 points in the league standings, the most since 2015, when the squad finished 5-12-1; 4-4-0 in the conference for 12 points. 
  • Four Seahawks have recorded two or more goals this season, the most since 2015 when Wagner had four players record two or more scores. 
  • With a win over Merrimack, Wagner will double its win total over the past two seasons and record the most victories since 2014, when that team went 9-7-3; 5-1-2 in the conference en route to a semifinal appearance.
