Kingston, RI – Following their week-long training trip to Florida, the Wagner College swimming and diving team fell to the University of Rhode Island on Sunday afternoon.
Despite picking up six wins, the Seahawks were outscored by the Rams, 177.00 – 123.00.
Wagner placed second in the 200 Medley Relay, as sophomore
Hande Kivanc, freshman
Ellie Eastwood, along with seniors
Andrea Gustafsson and
Dorian McMenemy, clocked in at 1:49.79.
Junior
Makenna Depuydt, sophomore
Madeleine Delore, Gustafsson, and McMenemy also placed second in the 400 Free Relay in 3:38.73.
Following her spectacular collegiate debut last week, Eastwood continued the strong start to her collegiate career with two additional victories, placing first in the 200 Breast (2:20.31) and 200 IM (2:11.75).
Depuydt also contributed two individual victories on the day, placing first in the 200 Free (1:56.62) and 500 Free (5:19.56), while also coming in second in the 500 Free (5:19.56)
Junior
Emily Moore was the third Seahawk with two wins on the day, placing first in the 100 Back in 1:00.36 and 200 Back in 2:19.26.
On the diving board, senior
Adrianna Warning was once again victorious, collecting 247.95 points on the 3-meter board to earn a first-place finish.
