Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College softball team will take the field for the first time since returning home from its West Coast swing nearly two weeks ago, when the Seahawks travel to Hamden, CT to meet Quinnipiac in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 24 with game one set for noon, followed by game two at at 2:00 p.m.

Following Saturday's twinbill, Wagner will face its second consecutive Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foe on Sunday, March 25, when the Green & White travel to Riverdale, NY for a doubleheader vs. the Jaspers with game one scheduled for 3:00 p.m. and game two set for 5:00 p.m.

Sunday's double-dip with Manhattan was originally scheduled to be played on March 20 but was postponed due to inclement weather.

When the 4-10 Seahawks take the field on Saturday at Quinnipiac, it will be 13 days since their last game, a 4-0 loss at Stanford in the final game of the Stanford Eastin Classic on March 11.

Quinnipiac, which is 8-14 on the year, last played on Thursday, March 22 when the Bobcats dropped an 11-1 decision to Northeast Conference (NEC) member Central Connecticut.

Sunday's opponent, Manhattan, will have been idle for 12 days as the 9-8 Jaspers' most recent game was a 7-5 win over Stetson on March 16.

Offensively, the Green & White are led by junior Karen Prihoda's 11 hits on the season, while senior Stefanie Aplin leads the team with a .360 average. Prihoda, Aplin, junior Lauren Serrato, and senior Maite Reece are tied for the team lead with four RBIs apiece on the year.

In the circle, freshman Arielle Koerber comes into this week with three wins in 42 innings pitched, while senior Morgan Brown paces the team with 12 strikeouts on the year.

Following the four games this weekend, Wagner will next be in action on Monday, March 27 when the Green & White travel to Philadelphia to meet Drexel in a doubleheader with game one between the Seahawks and Dragons slated for 2:00 p.m., followed by game two at 4:00 p.m.
