Riverdale, NY – The Wagner women's lacrosse team will travel to Manhattan to take on the Jaspers of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (
MAAC) on Sunday, March 18 at 1:00 p.m.
The Seahawks enter Sunday's play with a 3-3 record while the Jaspers are 3-4, following a 16-9 home loss to La Salle on Friday.
Freshman midfielder
Ally Alliegro, who has won the last
two Northeast Conference (NEC) Rookie of the Week awards, is Wagner's leader in points with 20 (14g, 6a) and draw controls with 24.
Senior midfielder
Lauren Ednie is second on the team in scoring with 16 points, all of which have come on a team-leading 16 goals, to go with a team-high 10 caused turnovers. Tied for third in scoring with 13 points each are freshman midfielder
Erin Kerstetter (12g, 1a), and junior attack
Anna Belle Reilly (5g, team-high 8a).
Junior defender
Maddie Courtney paces the Seahawks in ground balls with 20, followed by Ednie (16) and senior goalie
Lucy Darlington (10), who has a .462 save percentage and a 10.2 goals against average in 294:09 minutes of action while gaining the start in each of Wagner's six games this season.
Darlington's classmate,
Kelsey Fee, has logged 66:56 between the pipes and has a goals against average of 8.07 and a save percentage of .357.
Following Sunday's contest at Manhattan, the Green & White return to the friendly confines of Hameline Field where they will play a mini two-game home stretch vs. Saint Josephs (3/24) and Columbia (3/28), before beginning Northeast Conference (NEC) play at Robert Morris (4/6).
