Piscataway, NJ – The Wagner College swimming and diving team went up against elite competition on Friday night, competing against Big 10 member Rutgers and Ivy League member Brown.
The Seahawks notched multiple top-7 finishes on the night, led by senior
Dorian McMenemy, who finished fifth in the 50 Free in 24.52 and seventh in the 100 Free (54.18).
Wagner's 400 Free Relay, consisting of junior
Makenna Depuydt, senior
Andrea Gustafsson, freshman
Mary Tsianaka, and McMenemy also placed fifth in 3:41.83.
Depuydt placed sixth in the 500 Free (5:16.66) and 200 Free (1:57.78), while junior
Jenna D'Allegro finished sixth in the 1000 Free in 11:08.05.
Sophomore
Hande Kivanc placed seventh in the 200 IM (2:15.06) and 200 Back (2:11.55), while classmate
Megan Chiu finished seventh in the 100 Fly (59.69) and 200 Fly (2:12.26).
Sophomore
Sidney Marjamaa also recorded two top-7 finishes, placing seventh in the 200 Breast (2:30.04) and 100 Breast (1:11.51).
On the diving board, Wagner was led by senior
Adrianna Warning, who placed 10
th in the 3-meter competition with 210.60
Next up, the Seahawks will close out the 2018 calendar year looking to defend their ECAC Winter Championship title for the third year in a row on November 30 – December 2.
