Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College swimming and diving team earned its fourth dual meet victory on the season to stay undefeated on the year, swimming past Saint Francis U by a score of 141 – 121 on Saturday at the Spiro Sports Center.
The Seahawks once again earned two relay victories, as sophomores
Hande Kivanc and
Michelle D'Allegro along with seniors
Andrea Gustafsson and
Dorian McMenemy earned a first-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay in 1:49.57, while junior
Makenna Depuydt, Gustafsson, freshman
Mary Tsianaka, and McMenemy took first in the 400 Free Relay in 3:36.37.
Kivanc led a sweep in the 100 Back (59.52) ahead of sophomore
Wyeth Spike (1:01.59) and junior
Emily Moore (1:01.62), while also taking second in the 200 Back (2:10.68).
McMenemy earned a victory in the 50 Free in 25.13 in a tight race ahead of Gustafsson, who touched second in 25.20.
Sophomore
Megan Chiu earned a win in the 200 Fly in 2:14.24, while DePuydt was victorious in the 500 Free in 5:17.04.
Junior
Jenna D'Allegro earned a victory in the 200 Breast in 2:28.88 ahead of sophomore
Sidney Marjamaa (2:29.39)
Today's meet also served as Wagner's Alumni Meet, with numerous former Seahawks in attendance and at a reception following the meet.
The Seahawks will be back in action next weekend, as they travel to Bryant to take on the Bulldogs and Central Connecticut on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
