Fairfield, CT – The Wagner College swimming and diving team kicked off 2018 with two victories, as the Seahawks swept Fairfield and Saint Peter's at the Fairfield Tri-Meet on Saturday.
Wagner defeated the Stags by a score of 183.00 – 111.00, while swimming past the Peacocks 254.00 – 21.00. With the two wins, the Seahawks are now 8-1 overall in dual meets on the season in addition to their ECAC Title and a seventh-place finish at the Frank Elm Invitational.
The Seahawks picked up a relay victory in the 200m Free Relay, as sophomore

Dorian McMenemy, sophomore
Kelsey Eastman, and freshman
Madeleine Delore combined for a 1:51.22 finish. The 200m Medley Relay team, consisting of sophomore
Emily Moore, freshman
Michelle D'Allegro, senior
Kirsty Hessing, and McMenemy rounded out the relay performances with a second-place finish in 2:03.50.
Individually, DePuydt earned a victory in the 200m Free (2:08.83), ahead of senior
Leahi Camacho (2:09.73), as well as second-place performances in the 400 Free (4:33.22) and 100 Free (1:00:54), the latter of which was won by fellow Seahawk
Kirsty Hessing (59.91).
Junior
Andrea Gustafsson was victorious in the 50 Free (27.73), as Eastman (27.94) and Hessing (28.08) completed a Wagner sweep. Gustafsson later returned for a second-place finish in the 100 IM (1:09.32), ahead of freshman
Hande Kivanc (1:09.92).
Kivanc led a Wagner sweep in the 200 Back, touching the wall in 2:24.81, ahead of Moore (2:24.87) and freshman
Wyeth Spike (2:27.17), while Moore finished first in the 100 Back (1:06.91) ahead of Kivanc (1:07.78).
On the diving boards, Wagner swept both boards and earned valuable points against the competition. Senior
Sam Lavrich took first place on the 3-meter board with 238.35 points, while junior
Adrianna Warning won the 1-meter competition with 223.57 points.
Camacho rounded out her afternoon with a second-place finish in the 200 Fly (2:24.17), while senior
Maddie McNichol placed second in the 800m Free (9:20.83), ahead of sophomore
Katie Mulcahy (9:31.88).
In the 100 Breast, D'Allegro picked up a second-place finish in 1:16.74 ahead of sophomore
Colleen Higgins (1:16.75), while freshman
Megan Chiu touched second in the 100 Fly (1:06.62), ahead of senior
Erin Finn (1:07.11).
Next up, the Green and White returns to the Spiro Sports Center for back-to-back home meets against Rhode Island on January 13 and LIU Brooklyn on January 27.
