Staten Island, NY – On the heels of
Friday's emphatic 17-5 win over Sacred Heart, the Wagner women's lacrosse team will look for a sweep of its two-game homestand as the Seahawks continue their drive to make an appearance in the upcoming Northeast Conference in an 11:00 a.m. Senior Day contest on Sunday vs. LIU Brooklyn.
The defending NEC champion Seahawks are 4-10 on the season and 2-2 in league play while the Blackbirds are 2-10 overall and 0-4 in conference.
Prior to the game, the Green & White will honor its three seniors – attackers
Nicole Luzzi (Branford, CT / Branford) and
Olivia Streilein (Mt. Laurel, NJ / Lenape) and defender
Amanda Rey (Turnersville, NJ / Washington Township).
A year ago, this trio of seniors have seen played in a combined 167 games in their careers and each was a contributor on the program's first-ever NEC Championship team and NCAA Championship participating team. For their careers, Rey, Luzzi and Streilein have combined to score 158 points on 102 goals and 56 assists, while collecting 153 groundballs, 134 draw controls and amassing 80 caused turnovers.
