Staten Island, NY – Junior midfielder Lauren Ednie (Verona, NJ / Verona) poured in a career-high five goals and four Seahawks scored three or more goals as the Wagner women's lacrosse earned a convincing, wire-to-wire 17-5 victory over Sacred Heart this afternoon at Hameline Field.

In winning their second consecutive game, the Green & White even their Northeast Conference (NEC) record at 2-2 while improving to 4-10 on the season. In defeat, the Pioneers fall to 2-2 in NEC play and 4-9 overall.

Junior attacker Heidi Colford (Eden Praire, MN / Eden Praire) recorded a team-high six points on a career-high four goals, to go with two assists, while sophomore attackers Anna Belle Reilly (Paradise Valley, AZ / Notre Dame Prep) and Marjorie Dehm (Baldwinsville, NY / C.W. Baker / Vermont) added three goals and one assist apiece in aiding the Seahawks' season-high scoring rampage.

Senior attacker Olivia Streilein (Mt. Laurel, NJ / Lenape) was the fifth Seahawk to notch multiple points, finishing with one goal and two assists.

In goal, junior Kelsey Fee (White Plains, NY / White Plains / Ithaca), the reigning NEC Defensive Player of the Week, picked up the win with four-first-half saves and just the one goal allowed. Classmate Lucy Darlington (Timonium, MD / Notre Dame Preparatory) came on to record four saves as well while playing the entire second half.

Caitline Delany paced SHU with two goals on the afternoon.

Wagner held a 26-18 advantage in shots and a 15-13 lead in groundballs while the Pioneers held a 14-9 lead in draw controls. The Seahawks were particularly adept on free-position shots, sinking 4-of-6 in this category while SHU was just 1-of-6 in free positions.

Colford's six-point flurry keeps her atop the team lead in scoring with points with 47 on 25 goals and a team-high 22 assists. For Reilly and Dehm, today's hat tricks were one shy of their career highs as each has a four-goal game to her credit this season. This also marked the sixth time that each of them has tallied three or more goals in a game this season. Reilly and Dehm are now Wagner's second and fourth-leading scorers on the season with Reilly accounting for 40 points (28g, 12a) while Dehm checks in with 34 points (29g,, 5a).

All five of Ednie's goals came in a first half that saw Wagner zoom out to a commanding 12-1 halftime bulge. The versatile junior's five-goal splurge moves her into first place on the team in goals with 30, along with seven assists, as her 37 points rank third on the team.

In addition to her six points, Colford collected a team-high two draw controls while senior defender Amanda Rey (Turnersville, NJ / Washington Township) paced the Seahawks in groundballs and caused turnovers with four and three, respectively.

The Seahawks look to continue their quest for an appearance in next month's four-team NEC Tournament when they host LIU Brooklyn on Sunday in an 11:00 a.m. Senior Day matchup. Prior to the game, Wagner will honor its three seniors, Rey, Streilein, and senior attacker Nicole Luzzi (Branford, CT / Branford).
