Jasmin Kolasinac (Belgrade, Serbia / King's College) has been named Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Player of the Week for the first time in his career, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Kolasinac has helped the Seahawks to victories in eight out of their last 10 contests. Last weekend, he found the back of the net 12 times over the course of three games against George Washington, Johns Hopkins, and Navy. In addition to his team-high 12 goals, the rookie performer registered six assists, nine steals, and five drawn exclusions.
This is the Serbian native's second time being recognized by the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference as a Weekly Award winner, as he previously won the league's Rookie of the Week award on September 7.

Male Student Athlete of the Month earned his first ever MAWPC Rookie of the Week honor following the conclusion of his inaugural weekend in a Green & White cap, after finding the back of the cage 13 times in four games, while also registering four assists, seven steals, nine drawn exclusions, and two blocks at the 2017 Brown Bruno Classic.
Kolasinac currently leads the MAWPC in goals (53) as well as points (58).
The rookie will look to continue contributing to Wagner's success when the Seahawks travel to face the Princeton Tigers on Thursday, October 5 at 7:00 PM, followed by the Bucknell Bison on Saturday, October 7 at 11:00 AM in Lewisburg, PA.
