Liam Harris (Cork, Ireland/Kent School (CT)) took home a first-place finish while teammate
Jonathan Besselink (Kingston, Ontario/Holy Cross Catholic Secondary) rounded out the top-ten at the 22nd Annual Monmouth University Invitational, ran at Holmdel Park this morning.
Overall, the Seahawks finished third out of the six schools that raced.
Harris completed the 8K course with a time of 26:49.7 while Besselink crossed the finish line with a time of 28:31.4.
Fellow classmate
Nick Velez (Staten Island, NY/St. Joseph By The Sea) was the third member of the squad to place among the top-15, clocking in with a time 28:47.8 to placed 13th in the event.
The Seahawks will travel to New Britain, CT on September 24 as they participate in the Ted Owen Invitational, hosted by fellow Northeast Conference (NEC) member, Central Connecticut.
