Staten Island, NY –
The Wagner College softball team will travel to New Haven, CT to face Yale University in a doubleheader Saturday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Inside the Series
When the 8-10 Seahawks and the 4-12 Bulldogs face off, this will mark the 18th meeting between the two squads. The series record currently sits in the Bulldog's favor, as Yale has a one game edge over Wagner in the 9-8 series record. However, Wagner enters Saturday's contest with the upper hand, winning the past two games by scores of 9-7 and 5-4, respectively.

Scouting the Seahawks
The Seahawks enter Saturday's doubleheader after splitting a pair of games to Lafayette last Saturday on the road. Wagner earned a 4-2 victory in the first game before dropping a 5-1 decision in the nightcap against the Leopards.

Junior Hana Gilbert (Valley Center, CA/Vallet Center) was 2-for-3 with the eventual game winning two-RBI double to right center, scoring freshman shortstop Erica Krumbine (Freehold, NJ/Saint John Vianney) and junior centerfielder Brianna Tredway (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown West).

Tredway currently leads the Seahawks with a .333 batting average and 20 hits while Gilbert holds a team-high 17 RBI's and six doubles on the season.

Scouting the Bulldogs

Player to Watch: Brittany Labbadia

The Bulldogs return from their first trip to California since 1996. In the California finale, the Bulldogs were blanked 11-0 by Cal. State Northridge.
