West Point, NY - The Wagner women's basketball team travels to West Point, NY to meet the Cadets of Army in a 7:00 p.m tip at Christl Arena.
The Cadets, winners of five straight, enter tonight's play with a record of 6-1 and are 3-0 vs. Northeast Conference (NEC) foes, with wins over LIU Brooklyn (68-47), FDU (86-58) and St. Francis Brooklyn (69-46). The Seahawks, after battling Yale on near-even terms on November 30 before falling 66-52 late, were upended by Penn on Saturday by a count of 63-39. The 1-6 Seahawks have been shorthanded of late, with just six players available in each of their last two games.

Wagner is under the direction of first-year head coach
Heather Jacobs, who arrived on Grymes Hill in April after building championship programs at Division III Franklin Pierce College, and most recently, Division II Adelphi College. The Seahawks are led in scoring by junior guard
Tanasia Russell (Vineland, NJ / Vineland) who averages 13.7 points per game and in rebounding by a pair of guards in sophomore
Julia McClure (Secaucus, NJ / Secaucus) and
Corinn Baggs (Staten Island, NY / Staten Island Academy), who average 6.6 and 6.0 caroms per game, respectively. Freshman guard
Kellie Crouch (North Brunswick, NJ / St. John Vianney), who is coming off a team-high 11-point outing vs. Penn, averages 9.0 points per game, while McClure checks in at 6.4 per outing.

The Army West Point women's basketball team picked up its fifth win in a row on Saturday, and 21
st consecutive home win, by defeating St. Francis Brooklyn, 69-46, afternoon at Christl Arena. Sophomore forward
Madison Hovren, who leads Army at 19.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, finished with a game-high 17 points and 10 rebounds for her third straight double-double to lead four Cadets in double figures. Junior
Janae McNeal reached double digits for the third game in a row and totaled 12 points, five assists and four steals, while classmates
Destinee Morris and
Lena Hicks netted 11 points and 10 points, respectively. Jade Johnson led St. Francis Brooklyn with nine points, and Olivia Levey tallied eight points and a game-high 13 boards. Army had four players score in double figures for the second game in a row, as Hovren (17 points), McNeal (12),
Destinee Morris (11) and Hicks (10) all finished with at least 10 points. The Black Knights forced 29 St. Francis Brooklyn turnovers to finish with at least 29 forced turnovers for the fourth time this season.
Wagner vs. Army
Army and Wagner have played eight times, with the Black Knights leading the series 5-3. The teams last met in the 2012-13 season opener which capped a stretch of five consecutive season openers between the Black Knights and the Seahawks. Army earned a 65-62 victory in Staten Island, NY, to begin the 2012-13 campaign.
