Staten Island, NY –
The Wagner women's soccer team is back on the road for a non-conference matchup against Stony Brook Friday night under the lights at 7:00 p.m.

"I am looking forward to this game tomorrow," said Assistant Coach Rachel Reeves. "There have been some lose ends with our offense and defensive play but the girls are connecting and getting better with communication and making the right plays. Tomorrow will be a good test for them."

Scouting the Seahawks
Team Record: 1-4

The Seahawks are coming off of a tough 3-0 loss to Columbia University last Sunday, August 30, in the 2015 Wagner College home opener. Wagner and Columbia remained scoreless through the first half before the Lions found success in the 57th, 61st and 77th minutes, respectively, to pick up their first win of the season.

Wagner has scored five goals in the 2015 campaign thus far, from four different players, comprised of two freshman, Peyton Beck (St. Louis, MO / Webster Groves) and Maria D'Amico (Freehold, NJ / Freehold Township), one sophomore, Jackie Otake (Portland, CT / Portland) and one junior, Megan Fritz (Cape Coral, FL / Mariner).

Players to Watch:
Fritz, a midfielder, is currently pacing the Seahawks as the team's leading scorer with two goals, both of which came in the 4-2 victory over St. Peters on August 26.

Senior forward Samantha Jensen (Ocean Gate, NJ / Central Regional) has recorded two assists, a team best, along with five shots, three of which were on goal.

Scouting Stony Brook
Team Record: 0-4

The Seawolves are still looking for their first win as the squad comes into Friday's matchup 0-4. Most recently, Stony Brook dropped a 2-1 decision to Drexel in the Fairfield Tournament, last Sunday August 30.

Players to Watch:
Junior forward Raven Edwards started things off for Stony Brook netting the first goal of the season for the team and also leads the Seawolves in assists with one. She currently holds a team-high three points and has 11 shots, five of which have been on goal. Edwards was named to the Fairfield Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Sophomore forward/midfielder Christen Cahill posted her first career goal in the loss against Drexel, is second on the team with two points and is tied for third overall on the team with seven shots while seeing action in all four games for Stony Brook.
