Box Score 2 (XML) | Pictured Above: Brenda Bott (Photo by: Jason Roberts)Fairfield, CT - The Wagner softball team dropped both of its games of Sunday's doubleheader at Sacred Heart, falling 4-3 to the Pioneers in game followed by a 2-1 loss in the nightcap.
The Seahawks are now 9-19 on the year and 1-9 in the NEC while Sacred Heart improves to 9-20 overall and 4-6 in conference play.

Wagner 3 Box Score (PDF) | Box Score (HTML) In game one, the Seahawks dropped a heartbreaking 4-3 decision on Sacred Heart's Lauren Delgadillo's walk-off RBI double in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Sophomore
McKaleigh Goodale (Bradenton, FL/Lakewood Ranch) tossed her third complete game of the weekend and took the loss (4-7), allowing four runs on six hits with seven strikeouts.
Wagner came out strong, posting three runs in the first inning. Sophomore centerfielder
Brianna Tredway (Downingtown, PA/ Downingtown West) got things started with a lead-off single to left field, followed by a walk by senior shortstop
Kelsey Parker (Lynnwood, WA/Lynnwood). Junior catcher
Brenda Bott (Fountain Valley, CA/Fountain Valley) then singled up the middle to score Tredway and move Parker to second.
Senior first baseman
Beth Lewis (Ashburn, VA/Stone Bridge) followed with a double to right center, scoring two more runs to make it a 3-0 game.
Sacred Heart recorded a run in the bottom of the fourth and then added two more in the sixth to tie the game at 3-3 before Delgadillo delivered her big hit in the seventh.
Wagner posted eight hits from five different players. Sophomore second baseman
Taylor Beeson (Mesa, AZ/Red Mountain) went 2-for-4, Lewis and sophomore
Aerika High (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) each went 2-for-3, while Bott and Tredway supplied one hit apiece.
Game Two Recap: Sacred Heart 2, Wagner 1Box Score (PDF) | Box Score (HTML) Wagner got down early in the second game, giving up a run in the first inning as Delgadillo led off the inning with a double and then crossed home plate on Jenn Robillard's single. The Seahawks came back to even the score in the top of the third. Parker led off the inning with a single to left. With two outs, Goodale worked a walk to move Parker over and was sent home on an RBI single to right by Bott which scored Parker.
Kate Nadler drove in the winning run in the bottom of the fourth with her third triple of the day, scoring Jessica Schil, who pinch ran for Courtney Machamer who had led the inning off with a single.
Freshman
Morgan Brown (Buckeye, AZ/Verrado) threw a six-hitter with three strikeouts in the loss while Sacred Heart's Jamie Carlson picked up the win in seven innings of work.
Bott went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, Parker, was 2-for-4 with the lone run scored, while Lewis went 1-for-3.
The Seahawks will return to action at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 18 when they hit the road for a doubleheader at St. Francis U.
