Kelsey Parker (Lynnwood, WA/ Lynnwood) earned Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Week, for the week ending March 1, 2015, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
The shortstop standout was also named College Sports Madness NEC Player of the Week for her exceptional performance during the opening weekend of the 2015 season for Wagner.
Parker opened her senior campaign batting .538 (7-for-13) and amassed a .923 slugging percentage over the weekend at the 2015 Adidas Tournament in Rock Hill, SC. She wasted no time in making her mark on the season, blasting a two-run home run in her first at-bat of the season, leading the Seahawks to a 9-3 win over Coppin State. In the following game, she registered two hits and two RBI in a 9-4 loss to tournament host, Winthrop. In the final game of the weekend against the University of Hartford, the Lynnwood, WA native gave the Seahawks the lead in bottom of the fifth as her two run RBI single helped secure the 9-7 victory over the Hawks.
