Box Score Rock Hill, SC- The Wagner College softball team split day two of the 2015 Adidas Tournament, hosted by Winthrop University. In the first game of the afternoon, the Seahawks were shutout 9-0 to Appalachian State. The Green & White managed to split the doubleheader as they defeated America East members, the University of Hartford, 9-7 to even up their record at 2-2 on the season.

Kelsey Parker (Lynnwood, WA/Lynnwood). Four Mountaineers finished the contest with multi-hits, led by a 2-for-2, 3 RBI performance from Heather Josey.
Wagner's best chance in the contest came in the top of the fourth when Parker led up the inning with a single to left field.
Brenda Bott (Fountain Valley, CA/Fountain Valley) walked on four straight pitches before Appalachian State's Vanessa Ciocatto retired the next three Seahawks.

Laura Petri (Warminster, PA/William Tennent) single to left center, scoring Bott to give the Seahawks a 2-0 lead.
The Hawks took over the lead in the top of the second as they sparked a three-run inning when Jackie Kelly singled in Danielle DeMarco for the first run of the game for Hartford. Kelly would cross the plate on a wild-pitch. Elizabeth Newkirk reached on a fielder's choice which scored Margaret Betz.
Wagner tied the game in the bottom half of the second at three as sophomore
Aerika High (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) smashed a homerun to right center field. The Hawks answered in the top of the third and the fifth as they scored three runs to take a 6-3 lead.
The Seahawks responded in the bottom of the fifth with an six-run output. Senior
Beth Lewis (Ashburn, VA/Stone Bridge) kicked off the inning with a single to right, plating Gilbert. High, who finished the game 2-for-4, laced a single to left center, scoring Lewis. Parker would connect on her second hit of the contest, driving a single to center, scoring High and
Brianna Tredway (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown West). Sophomore
Taylor Beeson (Mesa, AZ/Red Mountain) plated the eighth and ninth run of the game for Wagner with a RBI-double to right field.
Freshman
Morgan Brown (Buckeye, AZ/Verrado) picked up the win while
Samantha Bedker (Phoenix, AZ/Centennial) picked up her first save of the season.
The Seahawks conclude the three-day tournament with a afternoon contest against Austin Peay University.
