Staten Island, NY – The Wagner swimming & diving team prepares for its final home meet of the 2014-2015 season on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the Spiro Sports Center Pool against Northeast Conference rival, St. Francis Brooklyn.
Prior to the start of the meet, Wagner will recognize its four seniors, who have exceeded expectations in and out of the pool the past four years. Senior
Michelle Greenough (Davis, CA/Davis), who is a dual-sport athlete (Swimming and Water Polo),
Mallory Lee (Newark, CA/ Moreau Catholic), who was the College's first recruited diver,
Samantha Sides (Cherry Hill, NJ/ Cherry Hill East), a sprinter and competes in the backstroke event, and
Morgan Stoner (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield Area Senior), who also competes in the backstroke and the individual medley.
In continued support of former four year Wagner swimmer, Meg DiBenedetto, who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, the Green & White will hold a fundraiser for the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, as t-shirts and bracelets will be sold along with donations. The Seahawks will continue fundraising until May and then participate in a walk for the cause.
Saturday's meet marks the second time the Seahawks and Terriers have faced each other, with
Wagner defeating the Terriers, 129-69, in a quad-meet along with fellow NEC member, Sacred Heart and host Iona back on October 25.
