Smithfield, RI –The Wagner women's lacrosse team will play its first Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament game in nine years when the Seahawks meet Robert Morris tonight at 7:00 pm at the Bryant Turf Complex on the campus of Bryant University.

The Seahawks, under the direction of first-year head coach Liz Frisoli, enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed while the Colonials are the No. 3 seed. In the first semifinal contest today, No. 1 seed Bryant will host to No. 4 seed Central Connecticut at 4:00 pm. The entire four-team NEC Tournament is held at on the campus of the No. 1 seed, thus Friday's semifinal contests, and Sunday's 1:00 pm championship game, will be held at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI.

Wagner and Robert Morris met just one week ago when the Seahawks came away with a hard-fought 9-6 victory in Moon Township, PA on April 25.  This victory broke and eight-game losing streak for the Seahawks' first vs. the Colonials as Wagner's last win over RMU prior to last week was a 24-11 win on April 7, 2006. RMU leads the all-time series vs. Wagner 8-2.
