Towson, MD – The Wagner softball team posted a 9-7 come-from-behind win over Quinnipiac University (3-18), before earning a 6-2 win against host Towson (16-11).
Wagner is now 11-13 on the season.
The Seahawks finished the weekend 3-1,
besting Quinnipiac 3-1 and falling to Towson 3-6 on Saturday before winning both of today's games.

Behind a pair of home runs from junior
Kelsey Parker, the Seahawks posted a 9-7 comeback victory over the Bobcats. In addition to her two homers, Parker went three-for-four at the plate, recording six runs batted in and two runs scored.
Freshman
Brianna Tredway (Downingtown, PA /.Downingtown) also went three-for-four, with two RBI and two runs scored. Classmate
Taylor Beeson (Mesa, AX / Red Mountain) was two-for-two, tabbing one RBI and two runs scored, while senior
Taylor Rauscher (Peoria, AZ / Sunrise Mountain) went two-for-three, tallying three runs scored.
In the circle, Wagner's pitching staff produced solid performances. Junior
Samantha Bedker (Phoenix, AZ / Sandra Day O'Connor) tossed the first 4.1 innings, striking out six batters.
McKaleigh Goodale (Bradenton, FL / Lakewood Ranch) closed for the Green & White, throwing 2.2 scoreless innings and posting one strike out. Goodale was credited with the win, her fifth of the season.
Wagner jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first inning. Tredway led off the batting order with a single to third base, and advanced to second base on a sacrifice bunt laid down by
Taylor Beeson.
Kelsey Parker then recorded her first RBI of the game, a single to the left field, to score Tredway to make it a 1-0.
In the bottom of the first, the Bobcats had a runner in scoring position before Bedker pitched the Seahawks out of a jam to end the inning.
The Seahawks increased their lead in the top of the third inning. Rauscher hit a double down the left-field line, and was driven home by Tredway's hit up the middle to put the Seahawks up 2-0.
The Bobcats answered in the bottom of the third inning, as Nikki Barba hit a three-run home run to give Quinnipiac a 3-2 advantage.
Wagner's offense exploded in the top of the fifth. With two outs, Rauscher, who reached on a fielder's choice, scored her second run of the game, being pushed across by Tredway's RBI double to left-centerfield to tie the game at 3-3.
Beeson followed with an RBI double to centerfield to plate Tredway and make it 4-3. Parker then recorded her first home run of the game to put the Seahawks up 6-3.
Unwilling to concede the game, the Bobcats loaded the bases in the bottom of the fifth inning, before Sydney Robey hit a grand slam to claim a 7-6 lead. Following the fifth inning, Quinnipiac would be unable to score again, as Wagner's defense shut down the remaining Bobcat batters.
The Seahawks recorded their final three runs of the game in the top of the seventh, when Parker registered her second home run of the game, a shot over the right field fence, to drive in Rauscher and Beeson.

In their second game of the day, the Seahawks continued to dominate at the plate.
Beth Lewis (Ashburn, VA / Stone Bridge) paced the Seahawks, going three-for-four with three runs batted in, while Rauscher continued her hitting streak from game one, going two-for three with one home run, one RBI and two runs scored. Wagner posted nine hits total, while Towson had four hits.
In addition to solid hitting, Wagner's pitching staff was also vital in the victory.
Gina Massaro (Fairless Hills, PA / Conwell-Egan Catholic) spun the first 3.1 innings, striking out one batter and allowing two hits. Bedker tossed 1.2 innings, holding the Tigers scoreless and allowing just one hit, while Goodale completed the final 2.0 innings, allowing one hit and.
The Tigers scored all of their runs in the bottom of the first inning. After loading the bases, Towson plated two runs to take an early 2-0 lead.
The Seahawks took control of the game in the top of the third, scoring four runs. Rauscher led off with a base hit, and advanced to second when Tredway reached first base on a bunt. Beeson then laid down a sacrifice bunt to advance the runners. Wagner loaded the bases when Parker walked, before
Abigail Beasley (Peoria, AZ / Centennial) hit an RBI single to score Rauscher.
With one out and the bases still loaded,
Brenda Bott (Fountain Valley, CA / Fountain Valley) and Lewis hit back-to-back RBI singles, with Lewis driving in two, to give Wagner a 4-2 advantage.
Rauscher led off the top of the sixth inning with a solo homer to right field to make it 5-2.
Wagner tacked on their final run in the top of the seventh. Beasley reached first base on an error, advancing on a ground out by Bott. Lewis then recorded her third RBI of the game, singling up the middle to score Beasley.
The Green & White return to action on March 26, when they travel to Philadelphia, PA, to face Temple. The first game of the doubleheader is slated for a 2:30 pm start.
