The showing came on a day that featured anything but ideal weather conditions as heavy rain fall during the length of the race.
Central Connecticut claimed its sixth-straight NEC title as senior Patrick Hubbell had the fastest individual time at 25:22.58.
The Seahawks were paced by senior
Jacob Malakoff (Tasmania, Australia / Friends / Hofstra), who recorded a mark of 26:03.81, which landed him sixth overall. Malakoff and fellow senior
James Naglieri (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) were selected to the 2014 NEC All-Conference team, with Naglieri earning All-Conference honors as he finished 12th with a time of 26:35.53.
Freshman
Joseph Abbatiello (Fredericksburg, VA / Stafford) placed 26th, and seventh among freshmen with a time of 27:37.17. Junior
Darius Moulton (Brisbane, Australia / Gregory Terrace) finished 38th with a mark of 28:33.82 while freshman
Jack Schnorbus (Haymarket, VA / Battlefield) rounded out the Seahawk competitors with a time of 29:35.25, placing 53rd.
