Despite the setback, the Green & White had stellar performances on the afternoon. Sophomore
Grace Baird (Lexington, NC/ West Davidson High School) won the 1,000 yard freestyle, clocking in with a time of 10:22.98. Junior
Amanda Lucia (Easthampton, MA / Easthampton) swept the two fly events she competed in, finishing the 200 with a finals time of 2:06.22 and touching the wall in the 100 with a time of 59.06.
The reigning Northeast Conference Diver of the Week, freshman
Sam Lavrich (Audubon, PA/ Methacton), placed second in the 1-meter event with a score of 207.60.
Erica Curry (Fountain Valley, CA/ Fountain Valley) also turned in a second-place performance in the 3-meter dive, finishing with a total score of 222.52.
The Green & White return to action tomorrow morning when they host fellow Northeast Conference member, Mount St. Mary's. The meet from the Spiro Sports Center begins at 11:00 a.m.
