Bronx, NY – The Wagner men's cross country team placed sixth today at the Metropoliatan Championships at Van Cortlandt Park, paced by senior
Jacob Malakoff (Tasmania, Australia / Friends/ Hofstra), who finished fourth with a time of 26:34.1.
Fordham claimed the team title with 26 points, led by Quincey O'Connor, who took home the individual trophy with a time of 25;51.3.
In addition to Malakoff's top-five performance, the freshmen pair of
Joseph Abbatiello (Fredericksburg, VA / Stafford) and
Tre' Williams (Philadelphia, PA / William Penn Charter) put together a gritty race with Abbatiello posting a 30th-place finish in a time of 28:00.8, while Williams claimed the 33rd spot in 28:07.6.
Senior
James Naglieri (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) finished 40th in a time of 28:15.9 while fellow senior
Timothy Mendez (West Haverstraw, NY / North Rockland) claimed the 47th position with a time of 28:27.6. Junior
Darius Moulton (Brisbane, Australia / Gregory Terrace) finished in 61st place in a time of 28:58. Freshman
Jack Schnorbus (Haymarket, VA / Battlefield) rounded out the Wagner runners with a 78th finish and a time of 30:42.6.
