The Wagner College softball team will take on the Farleigh Dickinson Knights in their final Northeast Conference doubleheader of 2013 on Sunday, April 28 at 12:00 pm. The Seahawks will begin the day by honoring their three graduating seniors -
Judy Betz (Ashburn, VA/ Broad Run),
Carley Nicoletti (Plainville, NY/ C.W. Baker), and
Brittany Huss (Anthem, AZ / Boulder Creek) - for their contributions over the past four years on Grymes Hill.
Seahawk Seniors
Nicoletti has played a pivotal role in her senior season with the Green & White. In 2013, she was able to reach career highs in average, hits, runs scored, and doubles, and has started in 150 games entering Sunday.
Huss, an All-NEC selection as a junior, has proven to be a versatile part of the Seahawk lineup in 2013. Huss has shifted around the infield, playing first base, second base and shortstop in her senior year. Entering play Sunday, Huss has hit .270 while driving in 56 runs and drawing 50 walks in 170 games for the Seahawks.
Betz will make her 108
th pitching appearance and her 77
th career start for the Seahawks on Sunday. She concludes her career third all-time among Wagner pitchers, having pitched 533 1/3 innings and attaining 262 strikeouts. She also places fifth in Wagner history with 48 complete games and six shutouts.

Abigail Beasley (Peoria, AZ/ Centennial) will finish the season as the first freshman Seahawk to hit over .300 in a season since senior
Brittany Huss in 2010. Beasley enters play Sunday hitting .354.

Kelsey Parker (Lynnwood, WA / Lynnwood) did not record an at-bat until her sixth plate appearance of the Seahawks' doubleheader vs. Lafayette (Apr. 18). An infield single followed walks in Parker's first five trips to the plate in the midweek doubleheader.
