Softball Signs Three Student-Athletes

Staten Island, NY – Head softball coach Glen Payne has announced the signing of three student-athletes for the class of 2018.

The trio, comprised of pitcher/infielder Abigail Boyer, catcher/outfielder Drew Duffy, and first base/outfielder Madison Marable, signed their National Letters of Intent this week.

Boyer is a returning three-year letterwinner for the Panthers of Schuylkill Valley High School. The Mohrsville, PA native has earned All-Division and All-Country accolades, and plays her club ball with TNT.

Duffy has played three years of varsity ball for the Coyotes of Centennial High School in Phoenix, AZ, and earned First Team All-District, All-Scholar, and All-State honors this past season as the team's starting catcher. She also owns a .439 batting average, and plays her club ball with the Arizona Hotshots Gold.

Marable, who attends Earl Wooster High School in Reno, NV, plays her club ball for the Reno Diamonds. Marable earned All-League accolades two years in a row, and was also named to the All-Academic team this past season.

"We are excited to welcome three quality softball players to our squad," said Payne. "They are great additions to the team, and we can't wait to see how they do."

The Green & White kick off the 2014 season on February 21, when they travel to Norfolk, VA, to take part in the Norfolk State University Spartan Class tournament. The Seahawks will face Yale at 1:00 pm before playing Norfolk State at 3:00 pm.
