Loretto, PA -
Junior James Naglieri (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) placed fifth in 26:58 to earn All-Northeast Conference (NEC) accolades while pacing a Wagner unit that took seventh with 157 points at the Immergrun Course on the campus on Saint Francis U. Central Connecticut won the 2013 8K NEC Championship with 23 points, led by individual champion Craig Hunt's blistering pace of 26:23.

Robert Morris (93 points) finished a distant second, followed by the host Red Flash (96 points), Bryant (109 points), Sacred Heart (140 points), Mount St. Mary's (149 points), the Green & White (157 points), Fairleigh Dickinson (195 points) and St. Francis Brooklyn (273 points).

Naglieri's performance marked the ninth-straight year that Wagner has had at least one All-NEC performer, as his fifth-place finish was the second-highest finish at a conference meet in the history of the Seahawk cross country program.

Hunt led a 1-2-3 finish for the Blue Devils as all seven of CCSU's runners earned All-NEC accolades. Sacred Heart's Christopher Connelly edged out Naglieri by just four seconds to finish fourth.

After Naglieri crossed the line, senior Dan Zaccariello (Staten Island, NY / St. Joseph By The Sea) capped his NEC Cross Country career by placing 30th with a mark of 29:06. Junior Jacob Malakoff (Tasmania, Australia / Friends (Hofstra)) was the third member of the Green & White to finish, clocking a time of 29:15 in taking 35th.

Senior Michael Baio (Staten Island, NY / St. Joseph By The Sea) finished 53rd (31:05) and junior Timothy Mendez (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) 54th (31:20) to round out the scorers for Wagner.

The Seahawks will next be in action at the NCAA Regional Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx on Friday, November 15.
