Staten Island, NY – Students from P.S. 21 (
Margaret Emery-Elm Park School) and P.S. 23 (
The Richmondtown School), who combined to raise more than 750 pounds of food in support of the
50 Tons of Food Challenge, were recognized at midfield along with director of student services Steven Barbarino during halftime of last Saturday's Wagner-Robert Morris football game.
The 50 Tons of Food Challenge is a joint partnership between Wagner College, ShopRite and the
Staten Island Advance which benefits Project Hospitality, an organization that serves over 1.33 million meals annually in the Port Richmond area.
