Wagner Improves To 11-4-2 With Senior Day Win Over Robert Morris

BOX SCORE

Staten Island, NY – The Wagner women's soccer team earned a 1-0 victory over Northeast Conference (NEC) opponent Robert Morris this afternoon at Hameline Field. The win, which occurred on The Green & White's senior day, lifts Wagner to an 11-4-2 record overall, and a 4-2-1 record in conference play. Robert Morris is now 4-9-3 on the season, and 0-4-2 in conference play.

The only tally of the match came in the 24th minute, when the Colonials were called for a hand ball inside the box. Elected to take the awarded penalty shot was sophomore Siara Kolpon, whose blast from the penalty line soared into the upper corner of the net to make it a 1-0 match.

Robert Morris had an opportunity to score in the 83rd minute, when Johanna Kadam received the ball in front of the net, though a charging Katie Marcy caused Kadam to push the ball just wide of the low post. Wagner's defense didn't allow the Colonials another opportunity before the final whistle.

During the match, 19 Seahawks saw action. Wagner outshot Robert Morris 11-10, and Marcy made four saves.
