Boca Raton, FL - Former Seahawk football star Frantz Placide, fresh off his riveting speech last night at the Republican National Convention held in Tampa, made the long drive to FAU Stadium to watch his former team battle Florida Atlantic.

During the game, wagnerathletics.com caught up with the 2010 Wagner College graduate.

Placide and the rest of the fans on hand witnesses a defensive struggle as Wagner gamely fought the Owls, members of the FBS' Sun Belt Conference, before falling 7-3. The Seahawks led most of the way but the Owls struck for  39-yard score with 11: 13 left to play and that score stood up the rest of the game.

Redshirt junior RB Dominique Williams (Bridgeton, NJ/ Bridgeton) paced Wagner with 117 yards rushing on 24 carries.
