Women’s Lacrosse Begins Two-Game Western PA Swing At Robert Morris Today At 1:00 pm

The Wagner College women's lacrosse team will play its penultimate game of the season when the Seahawks travel to Robert Morris University for a 1:00 pm Northeast Conference (NEC) tilt on Friday.

Wagner enters the contest with a 6-9 record and a 1-5 mark in the NEC while the Colonials are 5-10 on the season, 3-4 in league play.

The Seahawks are led in scoring by senior attacker Carolyn Clark (Syracuse, NY/ Westhill) who has a team-high 45 goals which, along with seven assists, give her a team-high 52 points. Clark is ranked No. 1 in the NEC in goals per game (3.00) and free position goals per game (0.93).

Sophomore attacker Sam Morin (Rockville Centre, NY/ South Side) is second on the club in points with 45 on 37 goals and eight assists. Senior midfielder Lauren Petrik (Baldwinsville, NY/ C.W. Baker) leads the Seahawks in assists with 22 and also has scored 22 goals, giving her a total of 43 points.

Junior attacker Erika Bulken (Baldwinsville, NY/ C.W. Baker) leads the team and the NEC in draw controls at 5.40 per game, a figure that also ranks fifth nationally. In goal, sophomore Morgan Roach (Syracuse,, NY/ Westhill) and freshman Shannon Sweeney (Madison, NJ/ Madison) have combined for 173 saves and a goals against average of 11.40.
