Kissimmee, FL – The Wagner College softball team wrapped up its 17-game Florida trip today, taking two games from Howard University in the final day of the 2012 Rebel Spring Games, defeating the Bison 9-4 and 6-5.
The two-game sweep of the Bison gives the Green & White a 6-16 record heading into Northeast Conference (NEC) action next weekend.
After a slow start, the Seahawks began to find their stride, winning five of their final eight games and outscoring their opponents by a combined 20 runs in those contests.
The Seahawks went 6-11 in their 17-game span, including a 5-7 stretch at the Rebel Games. Wagner will head back to Staten Island for its next contest, when the Green & White open their NEC play, hosting Saint Francis (PA) and Robert Morris next weekend.
