Lauren Petrik (Baldwinsville. NY/ C. W. Baker) and Deneida McCullough (Freeport, NY/ Freeport) scored two goals apiece but Saint Joseph's used a 7-0 run to open the second half, spearheaded by Grace Dinn who scored four of her six goals in this stretch, as the Hawks went on to record a 14-7 victory over Wagner.
With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 0-3 on the season while the Hawks even their record at 1-1.
Saint Joseph's jumped out to a 3-0 lead before Wagner answered with a three-goal flurry by sophomore midfielder
Michela Galante (Maplewood, NJ/ Columbia), senior midfielder
Melanie Garces (San Diego, CA/ Westview) and Petrik, the latter goal tying the game at 3-3 with 15:35 to play in the half.
The Hawks then went on a 4-0 run to build a 7-3 advantage before the Seahawks countered with goals by McCullough and sophomore attacker
Sam Morin (Rockville Centre, NY/ South Side) which made it a 7-5 game at halftime.
Saint Joseph's came out firing, though, in the second half, scoring seven consecutive times in extending the lead to 14-5 before Galante and Petrik stemmed the tide with goals in the final 2:04 of the game to fashion the final score at 14-7.

Carolyn Clark (Syracuse, NY/ Westhill), Galante, Morin and Petrik. Sophomore
Morgan Roach (Syracuse, NY/ Westhill) had nine saves in goal for the Seahawks.
In support of Dinn's six goals, Saint Joseph's received two goals apiece from Jen Peters and Abby Ananian. Saint Joseph's out-shot Wagner 33-16, led in ground balls 28-20, and in draw controls 12-10.
The Seahawks are next in action on Wednesday,, February 29 when Wagner plays host to Manhattan.
