One minute into the opening period, Hartwick's Jemma Dendy Young put the Hawks on an early 1-0 lead with a quick play past the Wagner defense. Answering back, senior
Lauren French (Colmar, PA / North Penn) hit the back of the net off a crisp pass from freshman
Rachel Burns (Greenlane, Auckland, New Zealand / Diocesan School for Girls) to tie the game at one a piece. Hartwick proceeded on a two goal run to lead the game 3-1 until the final 27 seconds of first period play.
With possession of the ball, Beck caught the eye of open sophomore
Kaylee Ginnane (Tampa, FL / Coronado, CA) who sent a shot sailing through the posts to put the Green & White within one. Hartwick managed to end the opening quarter with a two-goal lead after Allyssa Analytis hit the back of the net with only ten seconds remaining in the first quarter.

Becca Hannings (Lansdale, PA / North Penn) stole the ball away from the Hawks and sent a long pass to Beck who then sent it inside to a waiting French. French, unable to get the shot off in front of the net, sent the ball back out to Hannings who sent a quick shot past the Hartwick goalkeeper to put the Seahawks again within one.
Nearly two minutes later, freshman
Michelle Greenough (Davis, CA / Davis) tied the game after she knocked in a goal off an assist from Hannings. Following one more goal each from Hartwick's Kamila Zakirova and senior
Molly Robinson (Lansdale, PA / North Penn), the game was tied at 5-5 with four minutes remaining in the first half.
With each team holding strong defense, the score lingered in a 5-5 tie until 1:47 when Hartwick managed to hit quick back-to-back unanswered goals. With a minute ticking away on the clock, French drew a 5-meter penalty which allowed Beck to place one between the pipes to put Wagner back within one. With 30 seconds left in the first half, Analytis sent her third goal of the game past junior goalkeeper
Laura Karbach (Abington, PA / Germantown Academy) to put the Hawks up 8-6 headed into the break.
Out of the huddle, the first half of the third quarter saw no scoring until the 4:42 mark when Beck caught a pass from Robinson and nailed in a man-up goal to put the Seahawks back within one for the seventh time. Hartwick answered back within the minute as a goal from Sasha Freeborn set the score at 9-7. In a vicious battle for the lead, Robinson quickly took advantage of a man-up situation and answered back with another goal off of a pass from Beck twenty seconds later.
Throughout the next two minutes, the Hawks went on three-goal scoring run, increasing the bulge to a four-goal lead.
With 18 seconds remaining the third period, the duo of Robinson and Beck teamed up for the third time in another man-up opportunity to cut the Hawks' lead to three with score set at 12-9.
The final stanza opened as both teams remained steady on defense. Scoring first with 4:54 on clock, Hartwick's Lisa Bass notched on additional one point lead to put the Hawks up 13-9. With 3:28 remaining to play, Hannings went on an outstanding three-goal run which put Wagner again back within one with 2:08 left in the game.
Following a Beck penalty at the 1:38 mark, Hartwick's Freeborn hit the back of the net off of the penalty shot to set the score at 14-12 in favor of the Hawks.
In the final 41 seconds, French fired off a quick shot from the center which was blocked by Hartwick's goalkeeper. Off the rebound, sophomore
Stacy McGregor (Sinking Spring, PA / Wilson) sprinted to recover the ball and swam it across the goal line to set the score at 14-13 in favor of the Hawks.

Princeton Game Recap
Following a heartbreaking loss to Hartwick earlier in the day, the Seahawks entered a tough matchup with Princeton. After falling to a 5-2 lead by the Tigers in the first quarter, the Green & White battled to overcome the early three point deficit but just couldn't seem to mesh.
Tying the game 2-2 two minutes into the game with goals from co-captains Beck and French, the Seahawks continued to keep the Tigers within one until the 2:49 mark of the first quarter when back-to-back goals sent the Ivy League squad up by three.
Entering the second quarter down 5-2, Princeton hit an early goal 15 seconds into play. Answering back, Beck hit her second goal of the game to set the score at 6-3. The Tigers continued on a three-goal run throughout the remaining minutes and entered the break with a 9-3 lead.
The third period saw four more unanswered Princeton goals which put the Tigers up 13-3. With 20 seconds left on the clock in the third quarter, Hannings found the back of the net off of a clean pass from sophomore
Ashton Cline (Carlisle, PA / Cumberland Valley).
The final stanza brought on one more Tiger goal in the three minutes setting the score at 14-4. With 3:40 remaining in the game, freshman
Jessica Burdge (Stockton, CA / St. Mary's) hit back-to-back goals off of assists from
Katie Jordan (Westlake Village, CA / Agoura) and Greenough.
The Tigers came out on top with the 14-6 victory.
The Seahawks are back in action Sunday, February 19
th as they take on the hosting Bison of Bucknell at 9:30 AM and later face off against Brown at 2:00 PM.
