2014 JUNIOR: Named to Second Team All-MAAC for the second straight season in 2014, after earning the start in 36 games, while playing in all 37 … Led the team in field blocks with 11, while drawing the second most exclusions at 63 … Found the net on 32 goals, while adding 74 assists, becoming one of four Seahawks with over 100 points in 2014 with 106 … Also recorded 49 steals … 2014 Co-Captain along with senior Stacy McGregor … Was named to the 2014 MAAC All-Academic team.

2013 SOPHOMORE: Featured in all 37 games during her second season as a Seahawk, earning Second-Team All-MAAC honors ... Scored 27 goals and added 59 assists for 86 points ... Grabbed 73 steals and drew 71 exclusions, while adding five field blocks ... Was named to the 2013 MAAC All-Academic team.

2012 FRESHMAN: Played in all 38 games while starting 36 of those contests in her first season on Grymes Hill ... Scored 14 goals while adding 37 assists to total 51 points ... Recorded 51 steals and was second on the team with 58 exclusions drawn.

PERSONAL: Joining the Seahawks for the 2012 campaign, Burns played on the New Zealand Youth Team for four years and was named the North Island Secondary School Most Promising Player in 2009 and 2011 ... A five year starter on the Diocesan School for Girls Water Polo squad, Burns helped lead the team to five consecutive top three conference finishes and was a member of the New Zealand Secondary Schools Team that beat the Australian squad in 2010 and 2011 ... The Daughter of John and Suzanne Burns, Rachel has four brothers- Chris, Andrew, Richard, Paul.
