Moon Township, PA –
A pair of native Staten Islanders, senior guard Megan Mahoney (St. Peter's) and senior forward Ashley Olsen, (Notre Dame Academy) scored 15 and 10 points, respectively in their final game as Seahawks but Kristine Silaraja's 26 points were too much to overcome as Wagner fell to Robert Morris 73-60 in the 2010-2011 season finale.

With the loss, the Seahawks conclude the season with a final record of 12-17, 5-13 in the Northeast Conference (NEC). The 12 wins amassed by the Seahawks are the most by a Wagner team in eight years, since the 2002-03 team went 15-13. The Colonials, meanwhile, improve to 15-13, 12-6 in the conference. Robert Morris enters the postseason as the No. 4 seed in the NEC Tournament and will thost No. 5 seed Long Island this Saturday, March 5, in a 4:00 p.m. game.

After Robert Morris took its first lead of the game at 6-5, Wagner went on a 9-2 run to take its biggest lead of the game of six at 14-8 at the 12:06 mark of the first half. The Colonials then exploded on a 14-0 run, keyed by two Silaraja three-pointers, over the next 2:37 to take a 22-14 lead.

The Seahawks fought back with a 13-6 run to draw to within one point at 28-27 following a Mahoney lbreakaway ayup with 2:25 remaining in the half. But the Colonials outscored Wagner 5-2 over the final two minutes of the half to take a 33-29 halftime lead.

Mahoney's two free throws opened the second half scoring as Wagner got to within two points at 33-31. Robert Morris would respond with a 17-6 run to build a 50-37 lead with 13:03 to go. Wagner steadily chipped away at the Robert Morris lead, outscoring the Colonials 19-10 over the next 8:13. When senior guard Stephanie McBride (Mechanicville, NY/ Catholic Central) drained a three-pointer with 4:52 left in the game, the Seahawks had clawed all the way back to within four at 60-56.

The Colonials, however, had one final answer as Silaraja hit another three-pointer that  ended the Wagner run as Robert Morris outscored the Seahawks 13-4 the rest of the way in pulling away for the victory.

Sophomore wing Marie-Laurence Archambault (Montreal, Quebec/ Montmorency) and junior center Kelly Clark (Neptune, NJ/ St. Rose) finished with nine and eight points, respectively for the Seahawks. Olsen was Wagner's leading rebounder in the game with seven.

In support of Silaraja's 26-point effort, Destiny Harrison and Anna Gailite came off the bench to score 14 points apiece for the Colonials. Robert Morris out-shot Wagner 40 percent to 37 percent and held a 44-36 advantage in the rebounding department.
