Clearwater, FL- The Wagner College softball team dropped a pair of games on day two of the University of South Florida's (USF) Under Armor Invitational. Wagner's first loss came at the hands of Bradley University 8-1 before losing in the night cap to USF 10-0.
In the first game of the day, Bradley University scattered a pair of runs in the first, second, sixth and seventh innings, producing a lead that Wagner was unable to overcome.
Wagner's lone run came in the bottom of the second inning with bases loaded. Freshman
Brittany Huss (Anthem, AZ / Boulder Creek) drove in Wagner's run on a single to right field, scoring senior
Amanda deLancellotti (San Clemente, CA / Florida C.C. at Jacksonville).

Judy Betz (Ashburn, VA / Broad Run) hurled 6.0 innings of action while only allowing three earned runs. Finishing the contest for the Green & White was senior
Danielle Wagoner (Temecula, CA / Temecula Valley) through 1.0 inning of play.
In the night cap, the Seahawks were blanked by USF 10-0. The Seahawks possessed two scoring opportunities in the game, one in the first inning and the other in the second frame. After reaching on a USF error in the first inning, freshman
Krysta Fauria (Yorba Linda, CA / Valencia) took second base on a stolen base. Wagner's second opportunity came when junior
Amanda Garcia (Fresno, CA / California State University, Fresno), who got on by a single to right field, reached second base on a fielder's choice.
Sharing responsibilities in the circle was Garcia and Wagoner. Garcia tossed 3.0 innings while allowing seven earned runs and striking out two. Wagoner finished the 2.0 innings of action, allowing zero earned runs.
Wagner (0-9) concludes action at the Under Armor Invitational tomorrow, March 7 when the Seahawks
face Austin Peay at 9:00AM.
