HALTED GAME BOX SCORE
Brooklyn, NY - The return of inclement weather continued to wreak havoc on the Wagner baseball team's series with Long Island, raining out both the scheduled nine-inning game on Sunday, May 3 and the completion of the halted game from Friday, May 1. The halted game is now considered official, resulting in a Wagner win.
The Green & White improve to 23-17 and a Northeast Conference leading 12-7. Wagner travels to Sacred Heart for four games next weekend against the Pioneers, who are tied with the Seahawks at 12-7.
Junior RHP
Matt Watson (Howell, NJ / Howell) improves to a NEC-best 7-1 with the win and has a team-best 2.72 ERA over 46.1 innings of work.
Though the Seahawks led 4-2 in the top of the eighth inning when the game was halted, all stats for the top part of the frame are considered obsolete as final stats only count for the last complete frame. After seven complete the Green & White led 3-2.
Wagner hosts NJIT on Wednesday, May 6 at 3:00 pm.
