For the month of October, Fidan Khalilzade, posted a 3-1 singles record to go along with 1-1 doubles record as the Seahawks finished dual match play in the fall with a 3-2 overall record and 1-0 in league matches. Â Playing primarily out of the No. 1 spot, Khalilzade earned a 7-6 (7-2), 5-7, 10-5 win over Monmouth's Alexandra Graff (10/2), in helping Wagner shutout the Hawks, 7-0. Â In the home opener against the University of California Irvine, the native of Baku, Azerbaijan needed three sets to get past the Anteaters' Stephanie Nguyen, 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 in the Seahawks lone point of the overall match back on October 5. Khalilizade recorded her third straight singles victory against Fairfield back on October 6 after another third set triumph (6-4, 4-6, 10-6) over Diana Prinos. For her young Seahawk career, she has posted an overall record of 10-7 while going to 4-1 out of the No. 1 spot. Additionally, she capped her month with being named an NEC Prime Performer for the month on October 30.
