Noel Del Cerro was awarded Northeast Conference (NEC) Field Athlete of the Week honors for three consecutive weeks for his dominant performance through the month of January in the pole vault event. The Barcelona, Spain native was among the top-three finishers in each of Wagner's four meets in the month of January, which included a first-place finish at the Towson Tiger Invitational (1/13) where Del Cerro Cleared 4.90m and became the sole school record-holder in the pole vault. Del Cerro then improved on that record the following week at the Penn 8- Team Select Meet by clearing 5.00m. The sophomore now stands 20 centimeters over the IC4A Championship qualifying standard, and is tied for eighth on the IC4A regional performance list. He ranks first overall in the NEC performance list, is ranked 63rd in the entire NCAA, while being ranked among the top-15 sophomores in all of Division I.
