Junior diver Sam Lavrich (Audubon, PA / Methacton) set a Wagner school record in the 1-meter diving competition at the Rutgers University Frank Elm Invitational, picking up 244.45 points, which bested the previous record, set by Erica Curry last season, by 5.6 points. The Seahawks’ tri-captain finished fifth in both diving competitions at the event, improving two spots over her 2016 performance at this event. On the year, Lavrich, who finished fifth at last year’s Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships on the 3-meter board, has six victories in dual meet action, after sweeping both competitions at the Iona Quad Meet to start the 2016-2017 season.
